Located in the heart of Denver’s hip Capitol Hill neighborhood, Thump Coffee Roasters is committed to making and serving “genuine coffee.”

Walking inside, one is immediately greeted with the aroma of a fresh brew and the rhythmic drip of coffee into an awaiting white mug. With a brick-inlaid wall on one side and a simple, white wall on the other, the decor of the little shop is minimalist, but welcoming.

There are high top tables near the front windows, where coffee-goers can idly watch the day go by on 13th Street. Behind this sits rows of long tables, usually filled with those hard at work—either typing away on a laptop or sifting through a spread of books and papers. While many of the customers who visit Thump are looking for a relaxing place to work or study, there is also a very present social atmosphere. The couches near the back of the shop and the smaller tables scattered throughout offer guests the opportunity to sit and catch up with a friend or just quietly enjoy a cappuccino solo.

At the counter, one’s eyes can’t help but wander to the pastry display located beside the register. Thump Coffee is continually changing up their menu, offering unique flavored scones and baked goods weekly. While some of the local favorites continue to be a staple in the shop, such as the “Blueberry Paleo Muffin” ($4.35), this innovative coffeeshop always seems to be thinking of something creative and fresh to serve.

When it comes to coffee, you can never go wrong with a delicious Thump vanilla latte ($4.85). Iced or hot, this sweet drink pairs perfectly with one of the shop’s delicious pastries. If you’re wanting to go the more traditional route, a simple cup of coffee will do the trick ($3.00). With roots in Bend, Oregon, Thump Coffee imports a variety of brews from the Pacific Northwest and around the world to create an eclectic, diverse experience for the classic coffee lover.

For those familiar with the coffeeshop scene here in Denver, you know that this city has a lot to offer to the caffeine-deprived. Whether you’re wanting to study amidst the come-and-go of the daily crowds or enjoy a cup of joe in a trendy setting, Thump Coffee Roasters has something special for everyone.

Thump Coffee Roasters is located at 1201 E. 13th Ave, Denver, CO 80218 and is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m.- 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
