As most of the human population would agree, breakfast is not only the most important meal of the day—it’s the most delicious. So the best way to show your special someone that you care this Valentine’s Day is to make them a hearty and tasty breakfast to start out the day.

Banana caramel pancakes

Ingredients:

1 cup buttermilk pancake mix

¾ cup + 1 tablespoon water

2 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

½ teaspoon cinnamon

1 banana

caramel sauce

Combine the pancake mix, water, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon, but don’t overmix—it’s okay if there are some lumps; Spray a nonstick pan with cooking spray and heat to medium-high; Add some banana slices to the pan and pour the batter over them; When the batter looks fairly cooked on top, flip the pancakes and turn the heat down to medium; Top with the caramel sauce and serve.

Pro-tip: make the pancakes in the shape of a heart and add whipped cream or ice cream on top.

Pear and goat cheese eggs

Ingredients:

1 pear

¾ cup of goat cheese (the solid kind, not the crumbles)

5 eggs

Chop the pear into fine squares and set aside; Put the eggs in a non-stick pan sprayed with cooking spray over medium heat; Begin to scramble them and add in the goat cheese, making sure to mix it in evenly with the eggs; Once the eggs are nearly cooked, add in the pear chunks and let the mixture cook for about a minute; Once the eggs are cooked completely, the dish is ready to serve, preferably with heart-shaped toast.
