new winter tradition is coming to DU this year, DU First Snow.

News of this event was first sent out on Monday Nov. 2 in the DU Undergraduate Student Government’s weekly on campus activities update email.

“On the first weekday that the snow on campus measures one inch or more, celebrate at the SNOW ZONE on Driscoll Green,” it read!

On Driscoll Green, fire pits will be put out that students can gather around and warm up with hot cocoa or hot coffee, socialize with friends, and take in the coming of winter to campus.

Additionally, the first 300 students to show up to the SNOW ZONE will receive DU Pioneers beanies that they can sport for the rest of the winter season.

Students should keep an eye on the weather forecast and stay up to date through DU social media so they can make their way to the SNOW ZONE once the snow arrives.
