On the morning of July 24, an internal news email was sent out to the DU community announcing that PioneerNet has been replaced by the University’s new DU WiFi system. This project was completed mainly through the efforts of the University Technology Services (UTS) team.

The email explains that PioneerNet will still be available on campus until August 3, but after that, DU WiFi will be the University’s primary internet resource. UTS suggests that everyone who is currently on campus transitions to the new system as soon as possible.

For those who are interested in how to connect to DU WiFi, detailed instructions can be found on the UTS website.
Check back next Friday for an in-depth article including interviews with the UTS team that will explain how this project came to fruition .
