The Denver men’s basketball team had some business to take care of on Feb. 7 against the University of Nebraska-Omaha at Magness Arena. The win snapped a three- game losing skid and will hopefully get the Pioneers back on the winning track.

The Pioneers cruised to an 88-74 victory to boost their record to 10-13 overall and 4-6 in Summit League play.

DU senior Brett Olsen and junior Nate Engesser both scored an impressive 19 points each.
Denver started the game with a commanding lead at the end of the first half and had no intentions of slowing down. Denver opened the second half on a big run to stretch their lead.

This win situates the squad in sixth place in the Summit League, making this conference win crucial for the remaining conference games.

Denver will host North Dakota State, who is currently sitting atop the Summit League standings, on Feb. 12 at 7p.m.
